Thanksgiving is upon us and I, thankfully, will be heading back to Ohio for a week or so. better than imperial egg rolls?

But the imperial egg roll isn't an egg roll; it's an imperial egg roll. It is different enough from the spectrum of the standard egg roll (no veg on the inside, special sauce) to warrant that extra adjective. It is it's own (delightful) thing.
