Practice does not make perfect. Only perfect practice makes perfect. Vince Lombardi

The retreat house is a former 19C nunnery and just right for Tai Chi. The lungs are even better today, I didn't cough once throughout the whole of this morning's sessions. Not even when we began practicing the Staff Form in Earnest the grounds.

It looks great! Glad to hear it's doing good things for your lungs.

(I love the woman with the shopping bag in the last one - she looks like she got a bit lost and is now very confused...)

I'm having fun and getting back to the stage where the Form is so automatic, I can do it with eyes closed. This can only be good news for the lungs which benefit from daily practice.

Wow... I'm jealous. I wish there was somebody teaching good Tai Chi around here. The maxim of the last groups I was with was "vaguely flail around and we'll get it sort of right later".

You were jealous three years'ago if I remember correctly. You've been out in the wilds a long time.

The whole Tai-Chi Retreat is full of new things, even for those who've been doing the Form for years. The only problem is that it happens just once a year.

The stick waving is very much fun, fun, fun. We learned some warm-up twirling that reminded me so much of Spike in FFL.

My first thought was what a bad state their lawn is in - I'm doomed, aren't I.

Anyway, my second thought is that the stick waving looks fun.

My third thought is what are you doing inside taking photos instead of waving a stick?

The lawn is a field, full of rabbits and moles with their attendant holes.

I took the photos yeasterday evening, after dinneras I'm not attending the evening sessions.
