Tazer and Kaner are two of my favorites, and you had me howling with laughter for the first half of this with those two guys, a perfect 'Odd Couple' doing their best to be opposites. But then the fight came, and I finally opened my eyes at "Pat's mouth twists in disgust and something else, something sadder - and he seems to immediately sag. Like that's it." I got kind of chilly and sad after that, and I can't wait to get to part 2, and see how it all comes out. Thank you for a really great story. Keep writing!
