Guess who?

Interesting day at work today. Was back in Audio, the department I've just really started learning. Had been helping a customer and was just straightening up the register a bit. I knew someone was looking at the cd players and turntables that were behind me, so I turn to say hello, like a good little worker drone. Guy standing there was about my height, bald and very familiar looking. My thoughts were first, Oh, he looks like Matt Pinfield. You remember the MTV VJ who knows everything there is to know about music.. But I seem to place people wrong, so the only other option was that he had come into Babbages alot while I worked there. Then he opened his mouth to say that he wanted to get the Sony turntable that I had been wanting and I recognized the voice. Haha, jokes on me.
"You look very familiar, I know you don't I?" I asked. He introduced himself.
"Yes, I'm Matt Pinfield. Hi, how you doing?"
We chatted for a bit about records, the main reason I wanted them was because of starting to listen to more of The Smiths and Morrissey. Chatted about my favorite British gentleman for awhile and the canceled Lolapolloza. He really is a very friendly and nice man, he's a fucking walking encyclopedia of music info, facts and appreciation. he gave me an autograph as well, have to scan that in to show off later, as soon as I get the scanner hooked up again. Certainly going to be geting that turntable now. Also gave myself another reason cause I went out and picked up 'You Are The Quarry' on vinyl, even though I have it on CD already.
I should smack a few of the people I work with though for not knowing who he is. Pat knew cause Pat's cool, he went to school with Matt's daughter. ^_^
