I can ride my bike with no handlebars
I've been hearing this song on the radio a lot recently, and somehow it really speaks to me. The way it transitions from a child-like wonder, into personal empowerment, into insane megalomania, is actually a very powerful statement about human nature, and about the fuzzy line between empowerment and corrupting power.

I was a bit shocked, and saddened, when another state did this before California did. I always thought of us as one of the most progressive states in the Union. We're the home of San Francisco, probably the most famously gay city in the world! And yet, Massachusetts beat us to the punch, by legalizing same-sex marriage before we did.
