1. You might remember a post from a few days ago, where I wrote about how glorious my city is. To counter that, the CTA is doing construction on the Blue line... the train I take to work every day. They're also working on the Brown and Red lines, but my interactions with those are actually improved by the construction ( Read more... )

Even crappy CTA is better than the bus service they call public transportation in this po dunk ass town.

Isn't the brown line the one right by your place?

It is. They're in the middle of an expansion project and modernization, which will make all stations capable of handling eight car trains (up from six car trains) and make the stations handicapped accessible. It's going well, but there have been closures to get the stations up to snuff, and the closures last a year. I think we're on the last run of closures now.
