from chaptalI know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you for your interest in my words ( Read more... )

I'd give you grief over the first one, but I've pretty much done the same for my copy of Debbie Gibson's Out of the Blue. The only CD I've had to replace was Staring at the Sea, the Cure's greatest hits. We had the cassette, bought the CD for convenience, and the CD got to a point where the laser was skipping on the text from the non-playing side. We replaced it with Greatest Hits/Acoustic Hits.

I had a piece air on Dr. Demento in 1982. I'm going to Glasgow on Sunday, first time traveling overseas. I have killed two colonies of sea monkeys.

The first two are so incredibly cool that I won't try to call you to task for the third. I've never tried sea monkeys, but they don't have them at the Shedd, so I think they're just some kinda gimmick.

Thanks.

I annihilated one colony when I was a kid, another in my twenties. Sad times, never meant to go Stalin on them.

Mine way apparently Clowny. I think my parents made him up, cause I have no actual memories of him.

Dude, hash browns are the secret hangover cure. :-) Thankfully, breakfast is always the right meal.

1. i have double-jointed elbows.

2. even though i write in it all the time and do nothing to fix the problem, i hate my livejournal and think it is filled with nothing but pathetic fluff.

3. every time i see your icon i am reminded how scattergories is the only party game i actually like.

Your journal isn't all pathetic fluff. You right about hockey too. :-)

But even with the fluff (which isn't nearly as all-consuming as you think), I tremendously enjoy your entries. You're one of the many people on my flist that I wish I could meet at the bar on a semi-regular basis.

And I co-opted the Scattergories icon for my radio show years ago. My show is Out of My Head, and the logo has all this stuff coming out of his head. It's perfect! I had plans for T-shirts and bumper stickers and reserved parking signs. ;-)

write, and yes, but have you read the entries about hockey and how most of them aren't really about the game but rather how cute everyone was? yeah. that's pathetic fluff territory. :)

Bah. That's how I'd write (spelled it right this time) about volleyball if I still lived in a college town and went to games. And I could write that way about people in Chicago or at the airport, but that's just courting trouble.

I apologize for using the wrong write earlier... clearly, I was typing before I'd finished tightening my head. :-)
