it would really be a hell of a lot easier if we couldn't think about things sometimes. i wish i was a machine at times. i could do what i am supposed to do without remorse or emotion. i wouldn't think about my actions and be upset if it was detrimental to somebody else

That was sarcasm, in case you couldn't tell. We'll NEVER know if one of those men killed in battle could've gone on to do something amazing for this world if he had lived.

Humans ARE machines. Does that makes us incapable of feeling emotions? No. For example, love is nothing more than a squirt of oxytocin in our neural networks. Does this devalue love? No. But we now know its origin. It's not from an immaterial soul or "magic," but from a component of the human machines. Honestly Eric, I think you ought to see a psychologist. Anyone who feels this way has severe self-esteem issues as well as depression. Herman's "I care" speech won't do you any good, nor will my preaching for you to see a psychologist. Please consider it.

Hmmm...I don't know that vanity is the right word. I'm proud of my accomplishments, but I use them to try to help people. I geniunely wish Eric would see a psychologist, because he is obviously lost.
