I was glad to see a new chapter to this story. I liked the glimpse into Logan's life, but I also am dying to hear the reason behind the break between him and Veronica, so hopefully, you will get inspired again soon. Thanks for the fun!

Good news: I'm feeling fic-inspired in general right now. Woot! That hasn't happen in, honestly? Probably a good 12 months.

Bad news: I really want to finish Sarah's birthday fic before I try to work on anything else. It's SPN gen, but after that, I'll see where the muse leads. :)

I'm dying to know what Logan is going to tell Veronica and how she'll take whatever it is. I also love seeing Logan as a good Dad. You do a great job of portraying him as such : )

Logan has so much love that he wants to share - just, until Esperanza, he didn't have much luck in keeping those he loved with him. (often for reasons outside his control) I think he would be a great father - and part of the reason this fic is structured this way is because I really wanted to show that Logan - on his own - could find a way to be a fabulous dad. Oh, sure, if he and Veronica had gotten together/stayed together, she would have helped him be a great dad, but I think it's more powerful when he's able to get there and accomplish that on his own. (not that he may not want/get her help, though ... just, more eventually than anything else!)

I had nearly forgotten about this story but was SOOOOO THRILLED to see an update! I love this story and how you've really allowed Logan to grow into the person we always knew he could be, but doing it on his own terms. I think the relationship he has with Esparanza is tres adorable (as is she!), and how it's helping Veronica rediscover Logan by seeing these new sides to him.

I hope beyond hope that inspiration strikes again wicked soon because you've left us all on pins and needles waiting for "the talk." And while I loves me a little bit of angst, I hope it's a chapter of the "I love you" kind and one that makes Veronica go all "Nick who?". But that's just me.

Anyway, well done you! This has evolved into a really wonderful story.

We'll see what Logan has in store for Veronica - but I will warn you that we've still got quite a few chapters to go before this baby's done. Not that his explanation *won't* involve an "I love you" (and not that it will), but ... even that may not end in a quick happily ever after.

ANYHOW! I'm super-excited to hear that you're still enjoy this piece, and that you really like and can believe the Logan-Esperanza relationship I've created. (and, yes, Esperanza is really helping Veronica understand more about the man Logan is now, compared to who he seemed to be years ago.)

Me too - and like I've mentioned to a few people above, I've been somewhat fic inspired as of late. I just have a different project I'm focusing on first as a belated birthday present. This is next in line though, providing that the muse continues to cooperate.

It's going to be pretty involved and (likely) take up almost all of the next chapter, if not MORE than a single chapter. We'll see how verbose they get (or how thinky they get, I suppose).
