So, I've been listening to Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower, and now Parable of the Talents on audiobook during the odd hour before bed whilst playing silly computer games

So interesting to hear your reactions to audiobook versions! I have a hard time concentrating on audiobooks (although I do better with audio dramas for some reason); it's cool to think of how perception changes.

And I am very glad that you feel the world is less precarious than the apocalyptic stories of your past. Very glad indeed.

I hear you -- I kind of wish I were a knitter, so I'd have something more productive to do whilst listening, but my attempts at knitting were pretty hilarious.
