This story actually started coming to me last June as I attempted to make sense of the blooming, buzzing confusion of China; 'cuz, you know, Season 7 Giles seemed to have gone there, so

I was trying to leave a thoughtful, deep review but it all came out a jumble, and I don't suffer from malaria, only insomnia.
So, before I don't leave any feedback at all, I thought I'd let you know that I enjoyed reading immensely, and that it's one of the fics I'll come back to.
I guess it would be interesting what it tells about my mental state that I like reading fics that have my favourite characters suffering. Mind you, too often those types of fics often are so exaggerated and gratuitously overdone it makes me either cringe or roll my eyes, but in your fic it's balanced and believable. And there I go, rambling incoherently again.
Anyway, I think it's a gem of a fic that rocks my socks. So, thank you for sharing! :)
Aw, this was not rambly at all! (Sorry it's taken so long to respond, my wireless has been ducking in and out, again.)
Anyhow, I'm so glad you enjoyed it -- I do have a theory about why *I* like to see my favourites suffer, but I try not to make it too outrageous, so I'm glad this worked for you.
I had hoped to add some extra morsels, so that reading it this time would have some unexpected pleasures, but it's disappointingly not different from 12/31.
Lurker here, but wanted to say that I really loved this story. I was that sick once and it wasn't pleasant. You painted the "pain of the illness" very well and the h/c was just right with the caring of Buffy and Dawn. Want more please. Vehnu
Excellent story. Good job describing the setting, and at recreating the experience of being ill in a foreign country. The characters and relationships were all spot-on.
