It had kept her out so late, she'd not only missed her FIRST EVER REAL Valentines date with Jaime, but also the two rescheduled times they were going to meet today! Finally getting home, she discovered all her chores done

"You would have settled," Jaime agreed, "but it would have been settling." He smiled slightly. "Besides, you know that, deep down, you would have been disappointed."

"Not disappointed! Just... " Momoko gave in and smiled, reaching out to tap his hand. "Well, okay. A little sad. But never disappointed. At least not with you. I was the one who was stuck at work and kept you waiting."

"And why would I want you to be disappointed in yourself or your schedule?" Jaime teased.

"That wouldn't be my fault either, silly. I'd totally blame Oracle!" Momoko eyerolled with a chuckle. "Spending Valentines with you, Jaime. That's what I want most." Though the chocolates he'd brought her were a very close second place.
