Saturday night, Streets of New Gotham (Dinah's World)

After spending the morning with Ms Barbara going over the information on the murdered student, and the afternoon trying to keep from getting killed in a "training" session with Ms Helena and Raven, Momoko had been more than eager to get out and try scouting for more information on the streets of New Gotham

It was totally a coincidence that a certain douchebag was coming from the direction of the crime scene, hands in his pockets and a bounce in his step. He always felt so alive after draining some girl of her soul. That was the point, after all. And Raven with her Soul-Self was his Holy Grail. If he could just talk her into bed.

When he spotted Momoko, he put himself in her path. "Hey, where you goin' in such a hurry, babe?" he said.

"Eh?" Utterly distracted by her thoughts, Momoko stopped so suddenly at his appearance that she had put her hands out to his chest to keep from totally bumping into him. "Ah! Eric? Hello! I was, uhm, just out for a walk."

A really brisk one. Late at night. Yes. Believe the smile, Eric. Belieeeeeve the smile!

"Momoko, right?" Eric said, pretending he had to think for a second about her name. He knew who she was. Even if he hadn't download Raven's emails from her computer into himself when he'd "fixed" it for her, he'd definitely taken note of Momoko and Dinah at the bar the other night. Their souls had more energy to them. If he wasn't on the hunt for Raven's, he'd be pursuing them. Or maybe he could have them all. Appetizers, as it were, before the main course. But he had to be careful about that telepathic one.

"Why don't I walk with you?" he suggested. "These streets can be dangerous for a girl alone at night. Didn't you hear about that body they found a few nights ago?"

He'd dumped her there when he'd finished with her, just like he had the one tonight.

"Walk with me?" Momoko was torn. On one hand, she didn't want to be rude. But on the other hand she didn't want him around while she was asking questions about a murder!

Not only would that be weird and totally unhelpful for her, but it might reflect badly on Raven, and while Momoko wasn't sure she liked Eric, Raven obviously did.

"I'm all right by myself, I promise!" She flashed him a smile and a V sign. "I've taken martial arts and kendo! Anyway, I'm sure no one would want to murder me; I'm totally not that interesting."
