They don't shed, at least not usually. I can't wait for spring, though. Just a few more weeks....

What happens if they do? Is that a bad sign or something?

Yeah, we're close, huh? Hopefully we don't get as much rain as we got snow.

A lot of feathers molting away could be a bad sign, but I've really only seen that happen once. I don't think you need worry about it.

Hm...we should do something when the weather becomes warmer again! Rosa mentioned a house gathering, and I like the idea.
