[Similar to Ramza, Alma has also just woken up in Mayfield, and she is now exploring her new "home" with wary interest. Her fascination also lies with the portraits strewn about the house -- how could Ramza be posing with her infant self when he was only a year her elder? It made little sense.
She takes one such photo from the wall and reads the writing on the back, her brows furrowed in confusion.]
"Alma's first day of school"... "Ramza and Alma, age 10"... What in heavens? When did he cut his hair...?
Ah -- yes, we cannot be the only ones trapped here, can we... Surely someone must have information they might share with us. [She steps away to peer out a nearby window, raising her eyebrows at the view of the rest of town.] The likes of this village... I've never seen anything like it.
Ah, you are right, though. [At his request, she moves away from the window and back to Ramza's side.] We ought explore, become familiar with this place. The answers we seek may yet be out there, lying in wait for us to find them!
I am well aware of that, brother! But... you know I cannot stand idly by and simply do nothing. Regardless, I'll not leave your sight; you have my word on that.
