admin: challenge #11. future imperfect challenge

May 01, 2007 13:47

*twirls in her shiny new retcon* Wheee! How much do I love the fact that people are already suggesting ideas for this new, Ultimate Flash fic. Hooray!

In two weeks, we'll pick the next idea from those suggested or from something that happens on our tv screens. For this challenge, we're taking a page right from the Heroes interactive graphic novels, or an image straight from our screens for the:

Future Imperfect Challenge.

In "Five Years Gone," Kring and company gave us a much favored fandom cliche: The Dystopian Future. For the next two weeks, we challenge you to give us your dystopic visions.

Who died? Who lived? How did they die? Who turned bad? What's it like out there? How did it happen? Who stayed friends, fell in love, had kids?

You don't need to stay wedded to Kring's timeline. Any Heroes dystopia will do! And, just because we want to see your visions of dystopia doesn't mean the stories have to be dark and sad. Good happy moments happen in dark times. Dystopias can be comedic too.

The only requirement is that your future be a bad future. One you wouldn't want to see happen, for whatever reason.

So, remember we've got new rules in effect. I'm taking suggestions for the next fandom cliche on my admin post from earlier today. Spread the word, and let's have fun! I'm looking forward to the results!

Ready, set, FLASHFIC!
