I love how Sylar's dialogue bubble is unfilled. It implies that he says something, but doesn't define what ( ... )

Hey, does future-Peter have Niki's power? Is that why he's an emotionally detached asshole in the future?

Haha, that would explain a lot! He's dating her, so he must have her power.

In retrospect, I can understand why Sylar ditched the Nathan persona. He has Claire's power and he's done with being the president.

Not sure that the only reasons, I think Sylar went to stop Hiro from going back in time, because he knew that they were trying to kill him in the past.

Future!Hiro and Future!Peter probably became fighters/killers because they lived in a world where it was pretty much "Kill of be killed". It must have started in self defence, then it became 'normal' or their only options to do it, so they eventually got used to it. Unless they planned all along to find a way to go back in time to fix everything, so they convinced themselves that none of the guys they killed would die in the "new fixed world".

Peter's eyelashes for me. WOW.

I thought Nathan's lips were weird this whole ep, not Matt's! LOL!

"Emotionally detatched asshole"? How else do you think Peter would handle having his brother do those things and having killed millions himself? I don't imagine turning Peter into any kind of soldier would end well for his mental/personal health.

The backdrop behind Nathan - the flag? Or you mean the melted building? I know, really confusing. Sometimes ground zero looks really bad and others...it looks pretty okay. I didn't like that waffling inconsistency.

'Why bring a knife to a submachine gun fight?' was my question. 'Why glory in the violence now and pretend to be heroes?' was another. It was cool, it just didn't make sense or totally fit the characters. Maybe I don't think they were 'pushed' far enough to reach that point or something.

I wondered that about Matt & goons, too. If Mo got fried inside the metal door, well...

Yes, I completely believe that what happened to Peter in the future explains a whole lot of damage, possibly expressing itself with emotional isolation and assholishness. But I also had to wonder if this was the 'evil twin' version of Peter, the flip side from absorbing Niki's power.

Okay, men of Claire’s life (except for Peter who does a pretty good job) - learn from life, common sense and your past experiences (read: failures): don’t make promises you can’t keep ( ... )

Good to see you catching up on your rewatch :D

So…five years later and they still haven’t…you know, cleaned up ground zero?

Haha yeah, WTF?

Future!Peter is just a walking wet dream.

LOL Hell, yeah!!!

Claire’s fiancé is Emit from Twilight.

Not exactly, his name is Emmet in the Twilight Movies/Books, not Emit.

Heheh. So true.

Ando sure points that gun like he knows what he’s doing.

Yeah, pretty weird for an office worker.

Five years and no one checked the freaking loft? Ri-ight…

Also very true.

I think it’s more of a plot point that doesn’t fit either character.

I could see it for Nathan, but not for Sylar. I guess maybe Sylar is really worn down and defeated?

I love Peter’s tone, “Remember how he used to be - all full of hope and optimism? He went away the day you died.” He’s speaking about himself, too. That’s about the most blank, depressed and hopeless I’ve ever heard Peter. He sounds just…gutted and hollow ( ... )

I ship Nikki/Future!Peter. I can’t even say why. They're both emo and broken and kinda sexy??

I ship them too, they're super hot together :D

I never noticed Peter pushing the chair away with TK until recently - I always thought he was making some sort of ‘get out of my head/forget this/let’s go’ gesture.

I always thought he was doing what you last said, I'll have to look again to see the chair moving. Nice catch!

He risked everything for…nothing it turns out.

He flew away quickly because Matt said that Hiro was going back in time to kill Sylar before the bomb, which would kill him in the future as well. He had to go stop them, because he might have 'vanished' for good... The future he was in changed because of those events, so he was right to go, and he was right to be afraid of what could happen.

Yes, that's fantastic!

I agree that 5YG Niki and Peter are both very sincere seeming.

Future!Sylar didn't make much sense on many fronts. I'm going to blame the writers.

I love the more traditional beginning to the fight, big brother grabs little brother and tosses him around, makes very commanding demands of his twisted cop and turns back to sneer morality at his younger brother before they pull out the big guns. It’s one of my more favorite Sylar/Peter scenes. And then they just THROW DOWN! But we don't get to see it, darnit. (I could be funny and say I think of that cat's-fighting sound effect when you can't see them but you can hear them...or other, filthier sound effects of them grunting...Ehem, anyway ( ... )

lol You naugthy woman.

What on earth are those little bracelets on Peter’s wrists? I noticed them before (hard not to when he's practically shirtless)

Err, I've never noticed his bracelets, mostly because there's better things to look at when he's shirtless... lol I'll have to try to force myself to look at them.

Time travel makes no sense, so there's that.

Buy yeah, I figure Matt's standing there watching, or took cover and watched. But how can you not watch?

I never noticed the bracelets either.

This whole thing reminds me of that sequel to The Prisoner I always intended to write. ::sigh:: So many plot bunnies, so little writing time.
