Acting on Anita's hint, Miles pokes around the Mansion, looking for the door to the basement. When he thinks he's finally found it, hidden away in a dark corner he'd never noticed before, he looks around to make sure no one's watching him before trying to open it

Aramat can be found around the basement door and finds Edgeworth. "Hello there, may I help you?"

This man looks like my father with that cravat...

"Irk!" He'd been caught completely off-guard. He tries to cover that up now.

He shrugs nonchalantly. "I was just looking around. It's strange, I've never been down this hallway before. Do you know where this door leads?" he asks.

"The basement." She say with a straight face. "What is your business there?"

"It was merely somewhere I hadn't seen yet and I was curious," Miles answers - fairly honestly, actually, so there's no need to really pretend.

I wonder if this is the 'queer bird' Anita mentioned... he thought.

"It gave me a bit of a shock, though, when I touched it - strangest thing," he comments. "But you must have gotten through somehow...? What's in the basement?" He tries not to sound like he is investigating, though his habitual glare may slip uninvited over his features.
