The DaVinci Code ~ Movie vs Book

Finally got to see the Da Vinci Code last night. And for the life of me I can't see what some of the critics are all pissy about. Yes it could have been better but it was a good movie, especially if you haven't read the novel. The movie was a solid 3 out of 5 stars. But it could have been so much better! i actually had a couple of friends see the movie and not understand it.. or they didn't find it interesting anyways.

So they said if you haven't read the book i won't make any sense...

I went to the movie with 5 friends, all of them liked the movie (two of them loved it, can't wait to buy it on DVD) and two others hadn't read the book. So I guess it different strokes for different folks.

no no no ! I wasn't thinking dirty ! I was thinking about how people play head games with other people. For once you beat me into the gutter. Jessy and I are a bad influence I guess we need so cleaning up! :)

i think there was aspects that they focused too heavily on in the movie as compared to the book.
like opus dei. in the movie, it was like this huge fascination. but in the book, it was a passing comment.
the albino, he was frightening in the book.

i don't think i'm going to bitch too much...
i think my only gripe i had was that everything was done all in the span of 24 hours.

I totally agree ! Just watched the X-men and one of the most enjoyable aspects for me was that it doesn't all happen in one day.
