Ignore me while I gripe...

Mm. So, I got a review on ff.net a while ago. And... well... look, I realise that this is kind of immature and that I should not dignify it with a response and that I should just ignore it... but it's really, irrationally bothering me. So I'm just going to take this post to respond to it, as it's an anonymous review and I can't reply to it on ff.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment :) I appreciate it.
I think you're right about responding overly politely. It's something I do if I want to point out a flaw in someone else's fic (instead of "you spelt that wrong, stupid" I'd try and say "Just so you know, there's a little typo in line so and so) but I hadn't thought to apply that to replying to reviews. I'd not had to before; I'm glad you pointed it out :)
I can't respond to it really, because it's an anonymous review on ff.net. Which is probably a good thing in terms of making sure I don't make a fool of myself :P
It's good to hear from someone who knows what I mean, I'm glad you commented :)

I'd like to think that I'm amazing at giving critical reviews. I make them come across so that the person receiving them isn't actually sure if I'm being positive or negative. I am the confuser, if you will

Fresher's week started officially last night when we met up with our medic kids for the first time. Lectures and hard work starts next Monday :)

D:" - no worries :) It's still a WiP, and although I am ecstatic today because I posted the mostly-freshly-written chapter eight... well, today's the first day I've written anything for it in about three years. So it may take a while to be finished and I'm not really expecting anyone to read it while it's a WiP, I know I avoid them. :) [Hazel's Slytherin side: But of course if you feel like reading and reviewing at any point you won't see me complaining :P

Maybe it was from some odd bloke who secretly fancies you? You know, because supposedly if a guy hates on you he likes you? ...I've never understood that, myself. :P
But yep, that is pretty creepy. I don't know deviantART, but I know the main problem with ff.net is the sheer size of it - I don't think it's really possible to police it *shrug*.
Thanks - I think this post was my way to get my own back in an ineffective way that made me feel better :) But I do appreciate your agreement, stops me feeling crazy :)
And ranting in comments is perfectly acceptable :P

Not at all :) If you don't mind, I won't friend you back straight away - I'm trying to tidy up my flist at the moment, so I will friend you I just want to put it on hold for a... week? Shouldn't be more than a week before I've sorted my flist out. :)
