The Charlie "turnstiles" gates at Davis were actually functioning this morning.  I'd been starting to think, "Are they gonna be up but not usable for as long as it took them to get installed?" and now I feel like, "Well, that was fast."  Oh, time perception.

I read about the fare hike in Friday's Metro and then got an e-mail from Harvard

I don't know if you would know this: but if charliecards are rechargeable, how can you collect them and send them in to your car insurance company for the discount?

Could you send them your transit order receipt? (Though honestly, I have no idea if the vending machines -- or the person vendors -- have an option to obtain a receipt, since I've been getting mine from work since before Charlie and never needed a receipt anyway.)
