hedy reminded me that I meant to look into the state initiatives (and the gubernatorial race while I'm at it). Anyone who has thoughts or links, please feel free to share

Wow. These are all deeply, deeply awesome. Dawn & Spike: you've reminded me why I was such a fan of them back in those days. Both outsiders, often overlooked, they had such an awesome big brother/little sister dynamic.
Dawn was not complaining, however, when they were out clubbing one night and Faith followed her to the ladies' room and fingerfucked her in one of the stalls. I don't read a lot of femslash, but this is just HOT. Faith/Dawn? I definitely need to read more of them. (Though I am a fan of Faith/Robin. I like the idea of Faith finally comfortable enough with herself to give a guy a real chance.)
Sometimes she wished she could thank Giles, but she didn't think he'd enjoy being reminded of it, plus there was really no way to say it that wasn't royally creepy. Oooh, love this. My favourite. Which probably says a lot about me. It's not simply that I adore Dawn for understanding the necessary things, but that she's grateful for other people, like Giles, who get it too, even if it'd means she dies or people she loves dies. Thank you so much for the detailed praise (both the "detailed" and the "praise" part).
I wanted to say something about why Faith was with Robin but couldn't really make sense of the pairing my own self, and it seemed in character for Dawn to not get it either.
I'm not that into Faith, though I've read and recced a couple Faith/Dawn.
"Royally creepy" was a kind of off-the-cuff phrasing (I wanted to get these finished before I went to bed) so I'm glad it worked.
The Giles ficlet is definitely one of my favorites. I have such sympathy for that mentality, and "my" Dawn does as well.
I also really like ('shippy or no) Dawn/Spike and Tara/Oz.

I tend to focus more on strong Tara, but I really liked what I came up with in this ficlet.
Glad you liked, and thanks for taking the time to comment.
