The first time I saw it on my flist I didn't have a strong reaction

it's odd--that whole "if you don't post this, you're clearly our enemy" philosophy of memes goes right back to junior high, where the most common insult, quite coincidentally, tends to be:

"gay."

As in "if you do/don't do X, that means you're gay!"

It comes from almost everywhere these days, doesn't it? The "if you don't send this e-mail on/re-post this meme/what-have-you then you're so TOTALLY not with us." I am uncomfortable with forwards and most surveys and petitions. If I feel strongly about something, then I might say something or sign something to that effect. But if I don't feel strongly about it, what business is it of yours?
Stupid clique-ish people. Stop passing on junior high "wisdom", please.
