"Hard enough to break the rocks down into sand"

So yeah, Friday I came home, had a bit of food, ran a bunch of spyware removal type programs on my computer 'cause it had been really cranky, napped a bit, posted to LJ, went to bed... and didn't fall asleep until about 2am.  Not fair ( Read more... )

Starting around noon going through dinner -- with the idea being that people can come and go whenever's convenient for them.

For CDs, I suggest Case Logic CD wallets - you can pitch the jewelcases and keep the CDs all neat and tidy on the bookshelves. That's what I do, and considering I have a fairly extensive CD collection, it saves a lot of space. I should really do it with my DVDs too. Hmm...

I sometimes consider the CD wallet option (certainly saves a lot of space). But what do you do anytime you buy a new CD? Admittedly I'm compulsively organized, but especially in a binder like that there would be no way to find anything with any efficiency if they weren't organized... but you have no way of knowing how much space you're gonna need to leave anywhere.

Not quite as useful as the full CD wallet, but I have a couple of small, hard cases, more for traveling, which let me insert new individual sleeves for CDs, so I can actually arrange them alphabetically and keep them as such when I add more. Of course, the downside is that they hold far fewer CDs than the full wallets. (And I didn't buy them, they were a gift, so I have no idea where to get more. I'll have to keep an eye out for them.)
