we haven't senior banquet yet. something about the dining staff not letting us do it on a weekend and whether or not fridat counts as a weekend? i'll keep you posted.
No weekend? That blows. I assume they're sick of uber-drunken seniors. I know some houses typically do theirs on Thursdays, but I hated doing that last year -- since some people have Friday classes and all.
"It's Only a Paper Moon" was so good! I watched it from midpoint to the end for the first time, so I missed the beginning. But the last ten minutes was so amazing. *tears up, majorly* I have to say though that Ezri gets on my nerves. Bad. It's mostly the actress, I think, rather than the character, because I think the character's a good idea even if she does Joss the whole Trill mythos set up earlier in the series.
The first time I saw Ezri was in "The Siege of AR-558," and initially I thought she was just some random ensign 'cause she looked so young. I don't really have an opinion on her yet since I've only been catching snippets of episodes (compounded by the fact that DS9 tends to just focus on a few characters each epsiode).
Gotta love how Trek invented Trills in TNG and then basically 180ed on that creation when they did DS9. Impressive to reinvent it a third time, and within a series that already has it to boot.

I dunno. Mostly, it's irritating to me. How hard is to just follow the rules you set down in the first place? LOL We didn't learn too too much about them on TNG, so Dax wasn't too far off the original template, but Sisko spends a lot of time explaining Trill law and we get to see a good bit of their social mores on the episodes on the Trill homeworld and Ezri is breaking like a million Trill laws by being on DS9. They would never have allowed her to associate with people from her former life like that. (I know Dax and Sisko seem to also be defying this rule, but I think they get a get a jail free card because they were never romantically involved and because she's not trying to relive a former life with him).
I was being sarcastic. Consistency is a huge issue for me, so just the change from TNG!Trill to DS9!Trill bugs me. I know rules you invent for a one-shot character can be too restricting for an arc, especially if you have interesting new ideas that won't work with the old rules, but still....

I figured it hadn't been scheduled yet.

And hey, if anyone ever cares you can tell them the former Chief Operating Officer for the New England Patriots thinks you're talented.
One of these days I should really take a picture of that section of my wall (i.e., the section where I have various of your artwork up).
