in which our heroine continues to suck at updating in a timely fashion

The Firefly movie made EW's 2205 "Must List".  Best section is Joss on Summer: ''She brings a haunting quality, while fulfilling my apparent need to have a superpowered adolescent in everything I do.''

I like that Allison (SP) was given away by both her parents. What are they doing about last names?

Lolita was completely child-molesting, imho.

(Yup, it's two L's.) Yeah, i loved that both her parents walked her down the aisle.

I think they're taking Allison's name -- King.

Simon Pegg is bloody hilarious in 'Spaced', which you would probably like. It's a British sitcom about a bunch of geeks, and the fandom references are legion. Seriously, it's good, if you can find it over here (I saw it on DVD in the UK).

Tags show up on your friends page in S2. On the other hand, my friends page is ugly in S2. It's not really worth it.

Oh, okay. Thanks for the info. *hates on LJ* I dislike S2's comment-style primarily, but even if i lurved S2, it seems ridiculous that they wouldn't be able to enable this for S1 as well.

Shaun of the Dead is hilarious, but my brother has quoted it to, well, death. I could use a breather.

I think I should probably elaborate on my poll answer. I tried to read Lolita a few summers ago, and got halfway through before I put the book down in disgust. I felt that HH was a completely unsympathetic and thoroughly irritating character, and couldn't get interested in him or any of the other characters in the book. From what I did read, I would have put the second option down. However, I don't feel comfortable passing judgement on a book I haven't finished, and I think that I should probably pick it up and try again sometime.

I was mildly amused by Shaun... but no more than that. I know everyone is shocked.

The first time i picked up Lolita i couldn't get into it at all and quit after just a couple pages. The second time i persevered, but the characters don't get any more likable as you go along. It's on my list of books which somebody needs to explain to me why it's a classic.

And a box turtles goes "ribbit." Go back to second grade and learn you animals, Elizabeth. The marzipan creature is definately a crocodile-like reptile--not a bunny.

*no need to comment--I can already visualize your tounge being stuck out at me. And perhaps being given the finger.*

I thought you had said "bunny" when you gave it to me and i hadn't yet opened it at the time i posted. I was excited to see a reptilian creature when i did open the package, though. And of course i'm sticking my tongue out at you. (No flipping off this time, though.)
