Tristan is amazing. When she came my first year, the girl next to me kept on needing me to translate. It was amusing.

Emma and Cat tied Felicia up with duct tape Waay too amused by that mental image.

Oh, I completely forgot about the Requiem! I regret missing that more than just about anything I might have been doing on campus this semester. Such a beautiful piece.

And yes, a little spooky. Kind of nice in a way, though . . . I've found most of the official reactions to the Pope's death distasteful, honestly, but accidents are often the best, so yeah.

Did I tell you that I wrote an essay about the Bible's importance as an academic text, when I was applying for the internship I didn't get (or want to)? Well, the question was actually something like "pick one book that every college student should read before they graduate, and defend," and I had a lot of fun with that.

And I adore Tristan. I was sitting on the floor only a couple feet from her last time she spoke at Smith, and developing a bit of a crush. Even though she didn't say much I didn't know, that time.

I was actually underwhelmed by the Requiem for the most part, finding most of it uninterestingly mellow, but who says i have taste? :)

Oh yeah, now that you mention it i do recall you talking about that internship app. I wish Smith had a Crash Course in the Bible for English Majors class.
