Meg and i missed each other on Thursday, and Moriah had to cancel on me for Friday. Life is pain, as Meg said. Only, not really. My life is not Tess of the d’Urbervilles (which is nigh on 400 pages and which i didn’t start in earnest until Friday, because i suck). P.S. Oh, memories.Friday was positively balmy. Predictions of snow, what? ( Read more... )

But you didn't see your face when they happened. I did. :) And those are my memorieees.

And because I feel lame saying "buffy" or "slash" or "gay." Because it's too vague and general. And I wasn't there when you got the uber Buffy DVD stuff.

And yeah, I want to hear about the teacher person tomorrow...or rather...today...much later!

Well, he was really involved in the arts lobby in the late 80s, and was asked to speak against Section 28 on a BBC radio news show, as the arts lobby was really opposed to the legislation, since they tend to be both against censorship and losing their funding. Anyway, also on the panel was a religious person who was supportive of the legislation, and who said that we need to protect children from 'those people'. At that point, McKellen (who was, ironically, knighted by Thatcher after this outburst) said 'I am one of those people.'
