Every now and again people write me kind letters letting me know just how much they'd like my job. On a day like today, I'd happily take their job. Even if it involves heavy lifting, standing around in the cold, or telling people they can't park there. Honest.

Thanks for sending me your paper -- I will read it...when I read it. (I'm excited about it, but things take on an unpredictable pace when I'm at home with lots of unstructured time on my hands.)

Thank you also for the necklace, which, happily enough, was waiting for me when I arrived home last night! It's lovely, and you're right, it's very me. I'll definitely wear it. Thanks so much for making one of my wishes come true. :) Love you.

I was talking to him a week or so ago and he said it's now set for 2 1/2 years from now (which I suppose would be June, 2007).

And what is "capslock cold"?

"capslock cold" is a term i made up, as in so cold that one feels the need to write about it in all capital letters to emphasize the intensity of the cold
