Wonderful story! I really liked that you've made Ron caring and actually helping behind the scenes to bring Severus and Hermione together, rather than being a complete ass (which I myself have been guilty of at times :) ) Love the chess analogy to how he worked it all out.
The artwork was fabulous, I loved the scene from the Gala.

The prompt I received for this story long, long ago was Ron, as a master chess player brings Severus and Hermione together. I liked tying in the chess game from the trio's first year at Hogwarts into the present.
