1. A week ago, I started having back pains. Turns out I have a kidney infection. I'm on antibiotics for ten days, though, so I'll probably be alright.
2. Also a week ago, my family got a new puppy. Her name is Mya, she's a black Boston Terrier/Cocker Spaniel mix (which the vet had never seen before), and she's a rescue dog. We think her breeder

2. Definitely post pictures! Cocker Spaniels alone are wonderful, my grandmother had up to five of them at one time. I don't know how the Boston Terrier blood will affect that, though.

2. Okay. I'll have to get them out of my sisters' camera---I took a few pictures of her sitting at my closed laptop.

2. Aw, yay! Yes, you must post pictures.
4. I'm surprised you liked The Other Guys- the previews made it look pretty.. I dunno, lame, I guess. And, well, it's probably stupid of me, but from what I saw of the previews, Will Ferrell's character really bothered me because it felt like he was making fun of his uptight, unsocial character from Stranger Than Fiction. I love that movie and that character, so yeah, not really up for watching him skewer that. But, it sounds like The Other Guys is maybe more in the vein of Hot Fuzz? Hm.

2. I will soon. I should warn you that she looks better in motion than in still pictures. Kind of like, um, Benedict Cumberbatch does. Or something.
4. Yeah, I thought it would be horrible judging from the commercials, but it really is hilarious, if a bit stupid at times. It is kind of like an American Hot Fuzz, now that you mention it, though I didn't think of it before (except that they're in New York, not a small town). The theatrical verison isn't nearly that graphic, but maybe the unrated version is. I haven't seen Stranger Than Fiction, but Will Ferrell's character actually turns out to be the smarter one; Mark Wahlberg's character is dumb, loud, and thinks he's in a much harder-core action movie than he is actually in.

2. Heh, I think I know what you're getting at. Well, either way, pictures!
4. OMG, you must see Stranger Than Fiction, it's fantastically wonderful, probably in my top five favorite movies. Will Ferrell is truly excellent in it, as is Emma Thompson, Dustin Hoffman, Queen Latifah, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and everyone else.
