Ack!  I fell off the bandwagon of this meme!  Ah, well, I'm still going to try.

Day 07 - Least favorite episode of your favorite t.v show: Doctor Who, "Victory of the Daleks"

Cut for spoilers, since it's from the current season. Also features my first macro-ish thing. )

Thanks. :) I only wish I could have found a better picture of that scene.

Too true. ;) I'll bet Wile E. Coyote is looking for that...

and this was just another excuse for Moffat to destroy RTD's creations onscreen and replace them with something more cartoonish, like he did with the TARDIS.

I didn't really notice that... could you elaborate? :o

Well, it started with the TARDIS, which lit on fire when Ten regenerated, and Moffat had it burn and/or smoke onscreen several times in "The Eleventh Hour," as well as showing the Sonic Screwdriver (which Amy mentioned was "silver and blue") basically petering out throughout the episode until it died, and then he (or the TARDIS) built a new one that looked completely different. I was okay with the TARDIS looking like an upscale toy store on the inside, but the outside looks too much like a toy (that part really didn't need to be changed).

And then we have the Daleks, which looked fine, but Moffat designed that episode so the RTD Daleks wouldn't survive, and they got blasted by the Mighty Morphin' Dalek Rangers, which look like villains that escaped from a Saturday morning cartoon circa 1985.

I love the Eleventh Doctor and everything, but I felt like those changes weren't really necessary, and felt a bit vindictive against the former show runner---did Moff really hate being ( ... )
