Thanks. :) I really wasn't sure if it was going to work, but I guess it did. I've always felt bad for Spike, probably because I can sympathize with him in some weird way: he's always second to Angel (I was always second to someone in school, whether it be in band or academics), Xander is actually quite mean to him (bullies suck), and he never really belongs to a group (again, I floated around throughout high school). Yeah, I have issues.
I'll admit that I only know Spike from Angel, really (could never quite put up with early Buffy, and never caught up to the point where they were together), but knowing his story, it's an understandable amount of angst about being the eternal outsider and second best. And that would make it pretty understandable that he and Claude could have some sort of weird connection, even if they didn't fully realize it. Which is why I think it does work ;)
It's weird how we get so attached and end up relating so much to certain characters sometimes. I end up having a lot of sympathy for the nice guys in bad situations, which given that I'm not a very nice person and I'm very lucky, situation wise, makes very little sense.
I'm not much of a fan of Buffy, though I have seen every episode. Spike was maybe my favorite character in the latter seasons. The complications of having and not having a soul made him more interesting to me than most of the other characters, and I think there is a side of him that's very sympathetic. Even if there's also a side of him that's a bastard.
They would just need to be careful. Captain John is probably a walking intergalactic STD.
Oh ouch. Poor Spike, made love's bitch yet again. Well, maybe he'd feel better if he knew Claude and the pretty-boy's story. Probably not. Interesting crossover!
Spike was always love's bitch. I don't think he ever stopped being its bitch---it's kind of part of who he is. No, their story probably wouldn't comfort him. Thank you. :D

I have to admit, I didn't think this was gonna work but you pulled that off, well done :)

Thank you. This turned out much better than I thought it would.

Also, is it weird that since CE is Nine and Spike is Captain John Hart on Torchwood, I just pictured some crazy tri-fandom crossover?

I like it. Of course, Captain John would suggest an orgy. Spike, Claude, and Nine would roll their eyes but never actually refuse his offer.
