Yes, it's insane. I had to read it for my Modern American Fiction class, and I thought it would make a fun, trippy movie, like Fight Club or Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Yeah, Brad Pitt makes a great eccentric, and I think I prefer him in character actor mode. Oddly, there was a secret on fandomsecrets the other day about that. Unfortunately, he'd be a posthumous character. Also, I thought you'd like how I slipped Bruce Campbell in there. ;)
