Berlin!

I'm in Berlin for a few days, with the kids and one of my sisters-in-law. Em wanted to attend a BTS concert, but couldn't get a ticket, so we decided to go anyway.

It's just enough time to visit the obvious landmarks. Yesterday, we already did a sightseeing tour by bus and went to a flea market, walking down Bernauer Straße. There are ( Read more... )

It must be strange living in a house with that kind of history under your feet - but then who knows what's happened in most houses, hey.

Everyone seems to be into BTS these days! Did Em know there's loads of BTS fanfic on AO3? I've been reading indiachick's stories (because it's indiachick and I love her stuff) and now I have a growing fondness for Min Yoongi and Kim Taehyung...

I'm pretty glad we live in a new building, only thirteen years old.

She found a CD with a booklet and was pretty happy about it :))) I asked her about fanfics, but she doesn't ship anybody, so she doesn't read them.

I hope you have a great time, my nephew has been to Berlin several times and loves it. It must be so strange to see where the Wall was and knowing the horrible things that happened there, but thank goodness it's all in the past. I have no idea who BTS are but I hope Em gets the chance to see them one day!

The first time I was in Berlin was in Summer 1990. It was a school trip, and we were happy enough to witness the soundcheck of Pink Floyd's The Wall concert. Sadly, I wasn't much into politics with 17.

Em found a CD with a booklet and was pretty happy about it.
