This is a big part of McCain's base, so I'll divide it up into categories.

-Racists are, of course, idiots, but I've already covered them.

-There are the Trickle Down Kool aid drinkers, whom I'll handle in the first supplemental post, since Marty brought them up in an earlier comment.

What about the easy marksEvangelicals, or the kinder euphemism "values voters" who will vote for the Republican nominee mainly on the basis that he is less likely to promote women's rights? It may not be in their economic interest, but what's a little prosperity on earth compared to the damnation of their immortal souls, right?

I guess I can see their motivation here (same as the loyal serfs who complained very little and protested even less for around 800 years post-Rome) but logic? hey, if I can't see it, that may not mean it's flawed; it's probably just there isn't any thinking going on there, so no logical process to have flaws at all.

Good point. I thought about them, but I really don't know that there's much you can do about it. However, I'll do something on them too.
