Have I mentioned the heat?

It frigging bloody hot here.

It's in the nineties. Sometimes the hundreds.

And it's going to stay hot until, oh, October.

FUCK.

Now, I complained so much about San Francisco and its eternal autumn, and yes, I stand by those complaints. Sixty degrees in the middle of July is ridiculous. But damn--right now, I miss ( Read more... )

The other day I took an hour-long walk in the afternoon sun. I came back with only a mild sweat.

Hmm...it's 57 degrees here right now. I am wearing a sweater, and a wool skirt, and I'm freezing. BUT! This weekend was, indeed, effing glorious.

Ha, yeah, I know the feeling. Luckily the Mid-Atlantic is opting for the "not going to fry you to the very last day" option for summer right now.

Last year, though, let me tell you it was so bad I was going through two gatorades a day to make sure I didn't dehydrate.

At least on the bright side, you know this will be the last full summer there for a bit. A small silver lining;)
