I'm excited about your decision because I think it is a positive one, and I can't wait to see where you end up!

You know I feel you on the allure of living alone. I think this might be the excuse you needed to make that happen.

Plus, if you get a place that allows company, I'm totally coming over to watch you TV ;)

Yeah, I think so, too. I've given notice to the roommates and the landlady. I'm so out of there! Dear lord, now I need to pack. And cajole/bribe/extort my friends for help with the move.

Oh, provided it's not a monastery where I wind up (or an asylum), I'm sure that company will be fine. In other words, of course you're coming over to watch TV! It's pretty and HD-delightful!

Go you!

I promise to be a tolerable roommate at WisCon. :-)

I'm glad you've made a decision you're happy with. There's an empty apartment in my building, it's a decent size and really cheap...only it's a *little* far from downtown SF :)

Yes. But then you're leaving in a few months. And I would be in OHIO without you. Unless I can smuggle in your luggage when you go to the UK? ;)

Yeppers, while room-mates can be a lot of fun, having your own space just has this undying appeal for me. Its the ability to have sanctuary, haven. Its knowing that its your own that does wonders for my brain and its weirdness.

Of course, I say all of this with the reality that I might have to get room-mates soon for the next two years. Irony always gets the last laugh.

Hope you find what you are looking for!

I really enjoy living with friends. This past year, it's been living with random roommates who are very nice, but not friends. I spend a lot of time either in my room (we don't have common space to speak of) or out of the house.

So, saying the hell with it and spending the extra money (which at present, I can afford) makes a good deal of sense. I want to really enjoy the rest of my time in SF, and I think having a place that's just my own would help with that.

As for you--are you going back to school? Or does it simply make financial sense at this point to do that? Because, dude, you do what you have to do, and you're awesome, so I'm sure you won't actually kill anyone who doesn't deserve it. :)
