An anonymous friend recently asked me about what I am trying to do here, and what do I have to say or do to contribute to his own liberation and the liberation of all beings. I liked this post. It seems so radical to have no convictions, to do nothing, and yet seen another way, it is freedom. Thanks!

Thank you. It can be misleading to say I have no convictions or that I do nothing. After all, I'm not convinced that I have no convictions, and "nothing" isn't "something" that can be the object of a doing.

Convictions happen, but I'm not sure if I have them. I have things, but none of them are completely convincing. Things are done, but I'm not certain as to whether I do any of them or whether they are really things.

These traces we're sharing, this writing, this is the repetition and reiteration of freedom: not freedom as opposed to determinism, but a freedom that moves freely in between the limits of free vs. non-free.

Some people say that such writing is a type of philosophy, but I say that philosophy is only one of many varieties of such liberating writing.
