I debated posting tomorrow, but I ultimately decided to write about it now while I'm still bouncy and hyper enough to remember details

It sounds like an awesome time! I wish they would play out here again on a weekend that I'll actually be here. All the good bands play in this town the weekends I have things I have to do. Pisses me off. I hardly even get to see Jason's band because they play on either a weeknight or a weekend I'm gone. We're gonna go see them this weekend though. But that's beside the point.
Is the new CD any good? I was really dissapointed with Hell on Wheels. And the Another Happy Ending album was a general dissapointment. I like songs off of it, but there were spots where they got... cheesy. And part of the thing that's great about the Clarks (to me, anyway) is that they usually have fantastic lyrics. I like songs with big words. :-p And any song that starts with "drums" and then "bass... i said bass" is abig cheesy turn off. I first heard that and was like "Okay, Scott, you really ought to know that's lame...". So is the new CD less cheesy? I've been hesitant about picking it up because of the Another Happy Ending scare... :-p
I haven't listened to it yet, but I really liked the songs they played at the concert. And although the opening of "On Saturday" is a lil goofy, I never minded much because it's a great song after that. I love all their stuff! =]
I agree - it is good after that, but that cheesy goofy beginning is... I'm embarrassed by it. I can't imagine a situation where any serious artist would think that's a good idea. :-p I wasn't too big a fan of "Hey You" either. It seemed... sophomoric. I know they can write better lyrics than that - ya know? Maybe I'm just such a fan of Let it Go that I have a hard time loving the simplicity of some of the other stuff. Hehe.
hey - sorry i did not post yesterday. i am glad you had a great birthday. i hope you have a great year and have a great start finding out whats next in your life.
it sounds like you did have fun yesterday. spending time with familly does not seem like a lot to some - but its also sometimes comforting.
i realized that spending time with my sister and brother this past week after everything else going on between kim and my grandpa. my niece was just adorable.
Yeah, sometimes family drives you crazy, but sometimes they're the only people you want to hang out with and they're always the ones who are there for you no matter what. I think it's like that for most people. I'm just glad our families are as loving and supportive as they are. =]
