Hey FanSee,
The movies that we are watching have all been older b/w films. The first one was Sullivan's Travels. I really did like this one. More than I thought I would even. It was a little slow in the middle, but the message was very clear and well done.
The second one was The Sands of Iwo Jima, I have a confession......I don't like John Wayne!! So......
The last one was Mildred Pierce with Joan Crawford. I love, love, love Joan Crawford. This movie was excellent. It was a thriller, that really kept you interested! I really enjoyed that, and found myself wanting to buy it more than once. I just finished watching The Day the Earth Stood Still. I have seen this movie countless times, but the professor wanted us to pair it with Dr. Strangelove, which we will be watching monday!! So yes, this class is very interesting and i'm excited about what is yet to come.
How are you? The computer thing was very stressful, but I am glad that Best Buy stood up to their policy!
I had to settle for a Compaq. Which wasn't my first choice, but it works. It seems to be handling all my stuff just fine. Except for the fact that I lost all my music and I can't find three Rufus Wainwright songs........../rant (but that's for another day!)
The class is way more difficult (ie. time consuming) than I excepted, but very interesting and I'm excited.
tandra, i lost all my music in may when my computer crashed. (7500 + songs) i'm going to try and reconstruct it but i thought i'd wait for the new computer. it's so overwhelming. i know how you feel. i hope you'll find your 3 rufus songs.
if i wasn't getting an apple, i'd go to best buy. i'm glad to hear that they stood by their policy. is vista giving you any trouble? my daughter and her boyfriend have a compaq, he loves it, she doesn't.
are you ready...nip/tuck on oct. 30? in los angeles? i'm cannot wait. the guest star list is fabulous. i heard that bobby gant or was it peter paige is making an appearance. i can't remember which and i don't even care...i'll take anyone from qaf over 90% of the other actors on tv!!
Omg!! 7500 songs!! I would die. Do you have the hard drive from your computer? There's a machine that lets you transfer the data from that to another Laptop? if you have a laptop. Let me know if you need some music. (what type ect....)
I wouldn't necessarily recommend Best Buy! It took them three months to get everything straightened out with my computer. It's not like I hate this new one, it just isn't my old one!
OMG!!! I am so in love with the new commercial! I cannot wait for the 30th. I love them and I am so excited for L.A.
