"What kind of superhero rolled into town on British Rail? It should have been a sports car. Or a helicopter."

I could have picked a dozen favorite lines, but this one struck me. Wonderful command of a young man's voice when meeting his hero. The whole piece has that quality. (Okay, the rest of the series is great, too.)

And your Jack never takes a wrong step - the reflective tone, the joking manner, the breezy sexuality - it's really our Jack.

Absolutely fabulous! I read through the whole six parts, and I love your historical fiction, it's just brilliant. I really feel to 50s, 60s and 70s in this series, the characters are so wonderfully portrayed and your OCs very real and human. Gorgeous stuff!

Thank you so much! I'm so glad the historical setting worked - for me, Jack always works well in period settings :)

The OCs took on much more of a life than I'd intended, but I haven't regretted it for a minute. I think it's their fault that I wrote the rest of the series!

It's been such a long time since I've read Torchwood fanfic...but I really love this! And now, noticing that there are more than just these six...I'll be happily working my way through them all! :D

Thank you so much! It feels like a forever ago that I wrote it, and like you, I don't read much in Torchwood any more. But looking back over this... Well. Maybe I'll make it my 2011 resolution to finish the series completely!
