the end of the summer

This morning was a little chilly, enough so that I wished I'd been wearing a long-sleeved rather than short-sleeved t-shirt. Which was wonderful, but also makes me feel a little mournful: I prefer autumn weather to summer weather, but I'll miss the summer vegetables. Ooo, mee grob! A deep fryer *would* get the noodles perfectly crispy-puffy -- I hadn't even thought of that. I can get mee grob pretty easily around here, what with all the Thai restaurants, but I have to ask them to make it without shrimp; doing it myself would definitely have advantages. You're so clever!
