This is lovely! I only plant things in pots, myself, but I'm looking forward to when it warms up enough to do that. Yay for the beginnings of a garden!

Yay indeed! I'm just in from planting; it felt good to go play in the dirt. :D

What a lovely non-fiction fic - great structure and voice and it perfectly captures the mood, smell and feel of early spring. This could be Dean (SPN) or Tim Gutterson (Justified) curtaingarden!fic, or Tim Riggins and Tyra on a summer job (he a bit slow and clueless, and she all snarky and competent).

It would never have occurred to me to describe it as fic; I just think of it as my life. But thank you.

The rhythm and poetic tone seemed to elevated it above pure blogging to my mind...

Ah! I suppose I would still call them essays rather than fic; to me, "fic" implies, well, fiction. I think batwrangler used to call them Radio Essays, back when I was writing more of them, because most of them involved music.

I feel as if this post should be a scene from a movie, you paint the picture so well. An indie film, of course. :)

Thanks for the eloquent porthole into your world up there.

Definitely an indie film. With a large cast of character actors. :)

I still want you to come visit sometime. I will feed you vegetables pulled from the dirt in my backyard!
