OMG. OMG. WOW. HL. WOW. I had CHILLS at the end of this! It's just - I mean there is the whole of it, the breadth and scope and history that all still feels very intimate to these two, but even on my first viewing there are also all of these tiny little details that make this amazing. The way you've used effects here is just perfect. And some of your movement/cutting! I am looking forward to re-watching this a LOT and trying to grasp all of the things you did. Love it. LOVE IT.

Oh, sweetie, THANK YOU. Seriously. So much. I know that you of all people can imagine how freaked out I have been about this vid, and how scared of it I have been (effects! not my milieu! WTF was I thinking?), and to get a wow from you makes my week. And thanks for the lovely rec -- it went in my LJ memories as soon as I saw it.

Now I just have to convince absolutedestiny to put the vid in Club Vivid, because I so very much want to dance with all of you to this song!

Oh, honey, wow; this is gorgeous. I love the motion. And the glitching effect, between the two sources / between the "now" of the film and the history that Spock has shown to Jim, works beautifully. I have more to say but must tend to baby; more soon! For now I just wanted to say: I watched this with Zaphod on my lap and we were both mesmerized!

That was gorgeous! I loved your use of the camera movement in the Reboot and the ending blurs were stunning.

I'm so glad you thought the flickering effect worked; I worried about and tinkered with it for weeks, and it makes me unbelievably happy to hear that it seems to have paid off. Thanks for letting me know it worked for you!

This is awesome! The transitions between the TOS and reboot footage work really well. I love it when people play with these ideas in fic, that Kirk has this legacy (both on the meta and the story level) to live up to and this emotional history that isn't his yet but could be. It's really cool to see that visualized so well.

That's just beautifully put -- and yes, yes, exactly, that's a huge part of what I was after, and figuring out how to convey it visually was a challenge; I'm tremendously relieved to hear that it worked. Thank you so much for saying so!
