I so know what you mean about college being the place where you turned into a person. It was for me, too. Or at least, it's where/when I turned into someone who begins to be recognizable to me today. It's where I started to make my own choices about who I wanted to be. Thank God. *g*

Yes. This. I spent so much of my life before college just reacting to external stuff, you know? I knew a lot about who I didn't want to be and what I didn't want to do, but I had almost no positive sense of what I *did* want or value or believe.
