Thank you so much! Seriously, this means a LOT to me, coming from you -- "Candleburn" is really the definitive Mal/Inara vid for me. While I could not achieve nearly that level of gorgeousness, I did have the inherent pretty of Mal and Inara to work with, which helped. *g*

And I'm so glad you mentioned the "young & foolish" parts -- the vid as a whole is such a downer, and I wanted to try to show what a goofball Mal can be, and how tolerant Inara can be, and just how sweet they can be together, but I was a little worried that it would throw the tone of the whole thing. You reassure me!

Those lighter moments when they are able to take a break from everything are some of my favourite interactions from the show. It's always nice to see them included. You've captured their relationship for me.

I am charmed that you overestimate my niceness! But no, that's not mere flattery; I love that vid. Plus I hadn't fully realized how tricky to vid these two can be until I tried it myself, so the narrative achievement (to say nothing of the tech stuff) impresses me even more now.

Oh, this is beautiful and bittersweet and really makes me wish we'd gotten to see where that storyline was headed. Sigh! And gosh, they really are so very, very pretty, aren't they?
