A few weeks ago I cleaned up my Books To Get list and found, to my delight, that I'd actually made a dent in it. It was still a long list (six pages, single-spaced, 10pt Times New Roman), but several focused trips to bookstores and some judicious borrowing from
truepenny had allowed me to cross off quite a lot.

I'm not *complaining* about there being Too Many Books. I love having too many books, which is why I have piles of them sitting around my house unread. Heh.

Of course, I can blame the list on other people, but the greediness and tendency to lose all financial sense when standing in a used bookstore are, sadly, all my own.

You should post your list(s).

As for posting my list, no way. Between the "you haven't read [x]?!" and the "oh, but you must also read [y]!" I suspect I would end up both embarrassed and (more) broke.

I usually go over my main list & try to come up with a yearly reading list that's balanced across the topics...but I tend to go in spurts & read a bunch of one category before moving on to the next. Kind of like how you eat a ton of fresh strawberries when the season comes in, then you move on to the next fruit or veggie.
