My mom fell off the roof yesterday and broke her arm in two places. She's likely going to be fine though she has to have surgery tomorrow. She also hit her head and they're doing a scan to make sure she's okay though it doesn't sound like they're too worried about it ( Read more... )

My mom had to put our sheltie, Morganna, to sleep last Friday. She hadn't been eating and mom assumed that it was her teeth bothering her so took her into the vet Thursday morning. She was diagnosed with advanced cancer of the liver. They gave her a shot for the pain so that she could be at home one more morning and then put her to sleep early on ( Read more... )

So, talked to mom. They've apparently got my dad doped to the gills at the moment. It turns out that he's been resisting going to the doctor for several days now and if he hadn't done so he might have been able to avoid ending up where he is.
