Interesting article about diet. A bit long winded when the gist of it is "Eat less, eat more plants, enjoy eating" but it was still an interesting read.

I'm glad you summed that up for me, because...twelve pages?!? Oh, hell, no!

*grin* Yeah, like I said it was kind of interesting but boy did he go on and on. Thankfully I was trying to avoid work :-)

"Eat more plants" is good advice for most people in the developed nations these days. I'm utterly amazed at how many there are who eat no fruit or vegetables at all other than cooked potato or the bleached flour used in white bread and sweet baked goods.

Very true. Actually it's made cooking for friends rather a chore. I can't count the number of times I've asked specifically if people had any foods they didn't care for and they go on and on saying no only to show up at dinner with the attitude, "We didn't know you meant PLANTS. We hateses those we do!"

Annoys me since I mostly eat chicken and plants. :-)

Well, that's all the more for those of us who know how good things like eggplants, tomatoes, and green beans are. ;D

I'll give you the green beans (although I'm now sick of them after having had them every day for months), but frankly, most vegetables just taste awful.

Every child knows this. It takes years of devotedly convincing yourself otherwise before you decide you "like" vegetables. ;)
